The Beginning

At Saints Family Church (SFC), love is realised, lived, and given freely. The church was founded in February 2022 by Pastor Sam and Thembi Maseko who initially had no intention to start or pastor a church, but through frequent prayer meetings at Mr and Mrs Tshoane's home in Mooikloof Estate, the seed for what is now SFC was planted.

The prayer meetings were a signal to Pastor Sam and Sister Thembi to respond to what they call "the distress call from Macedonia" - in reference to Acts 16:9– the need to minister to the many souls who had been spiritually displaced by various factors, including two years of COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.

The first two services were held at the Tshoane home, but it quickly became evident that the space was not sufficient to house the growing membership. Consistent with His character outlined in the book of Ephesians 3:20, God had already prepared a place of worship - the Mooikloof Chapel – which hosted the first SFC service on the morning of February 2022.

The culmination and heart of this ministry is embodied in its motto: You Belong, signifying to members and visitors alike that love and acceptance not only reign at SFC, but they are the very DNA and identity of the church.
